Sprague joined the Lions prior to the 2019 season. While serving on the coaching staff at Lindenwood, she is working as a softball coach at Parkway South High School. Sprague graduated from Maryville University in the spring of 2018, where she played softball for head coach Liz Kelly.

In her playing career, Sprague was a pitcher/first baseman who played four years for the Saints. In the circle, she posted a career 3.63 ERA with 155 strikeouts. At the plate, Sprague hit .272 with 19 doubles and 58 RBIs. 

In high school, Sprague was a four-year starter in the at Parkway South. She set school records in wins (64) and strikeouts (500). Sprague was a two-time first-team All-State, All-Region, All-District and All-Conference in her career. As a junior, she set a Parkway South single-season record with 177 strikeouts, earning Suburban West Conference Player of the Year honors.
