Wendy Macias is in her season as a member of the Lindenwood softball coaching staff in 2017.
Macias was a member of Maryville’s softball squad the last two years. She won 33 games on the rubber over those seasons and recorded 276 strikeouts. She was also a force at the plate, hitting over .300 both years.
In 2016, Macias went 22-4 on the mound, setting a school record for most wins in a season. She had a 1.91 ERA and was a second-team all-conference selection. She also hit .320 with 17 runs, 30 RBIs, and 4 home runs. She led the team to a school-record 39 wins, and helped the Saints advance to the NCAA Region 2 championship game.
Macias also played two seasons at Quincy University. She was a two-time all-conference selection for the Hawks, including first-team honors in 2013. She was named the Quincy Athletics Freshman of the Year in 2012, and was the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Macias has previous coaching experience by being an assistant coach for the St. Louis Nemesis 18 and under club team from 2012 to 2016. She has also been an instructor at clinics and camps at Maryville and Quincy.
Macias played high school softball at Duchesne in St. Charles, Mo. She was a 2011 all-state selection and a four-time all-conference pick.
Macias graduated from Maryville in 2016 with a degree in rehabilitation services.
