Alexis Hyder will begin her first season as an assistant coach in 2023-24. She will also serve as the recruiting coordinator and and forward/post position coach.
Hyder comes to Lindenwood after spending last season at the University of North Texas as the teams’ video coordinator. She got into the coaching world as the video coordinator for FIU. She spent one season with Florida International University in 2019.
Hyder was a very accomplished collegiate player, as she suited up for North Texas and LSU. Her success in the college ranks led to a five-year professional career overseas, three in Sweden, one in Australia and one in Greece. At North Texas, Hyder started 51 games in two seasons and earned all-conference honors after her freshman season. In 2016, Hyder was named honorable mention Associated Press All-SEC, LWSA Newcomer of the Year and was named to the All-Louisiana second team.
An Austin, Texas native, Hyder graduated from LSU with a degree in Sports Administration and a minor in Business.
