Oliver Wiseman is entering his fourth season as the assistant coach of the Lindenwood women’s basketball team in 2021-22.
Wiseman helped Lindenwood to be one of the top teams in the GLVC inside the paint defensively, finishing first in blocked shots (94), blocked shots per game (4.7), rebounds per game (40.1), and rebound margin (7.5). Wiseman coached three Lions to All-GLVC accolades and three student-athletes to GLVC Player of the Week honors. In the classroom, the Lions collected GLVC Team Academic All-Conference honors, and 12 student-athletes collected Academic All-GLVC honors.
During the 2019-20 season, Wiseman helped lead one of the top offenses in the conference, as the Lions finished second in the GLVC as a team, scoring more than 77.5 points per game. Under Wiseman's assistance, three players received All-Conference honors, with Kallie Bildner being named to the first team, and Devin Fuhring and Lindsay Medlen being named to the second team.
In Wiseman's first season with the Lions, he helped oversee the development of Kallie Bildner, as she finished the year as a D2CCA All-Central Region selection. The Lions placed three players on All-MIAA teams, and the team received its first at-large bid in program history. Lindenwood finished the campaign with a .470 field goal percentage, a Lindenwood NCAA record and the seventh-best mark in Division II during the season. The Lions also finished eighth in the NCAA with a 9.4 rebounding margin.
Prior to Lindenwood, Wiseman spent two seasons with Knox College. With Knox, he was in charge of player development and recruiting, oversaw the film and scouting and organized travel plans. Wiseman helped the team to the most wins in program history since the 1989-90 season.
Before Knox, Wiseman worked at UMSL, and his duties included offensive play calling, recruiting, and team travel. Wiseman helped the Tritons earn a berth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and also coached two All-GLVC selections.
Prior to UMSL, Wiseman served a stint at another GLVC school, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. While with the Rangers, he was responsible for the entire offensive scheme and in-game play calling, as well as recruiting and individual skill development. The Rangers improved by 14 wins from the previous season, which included an increase in production in every offensive statistical category, en route to a 22-8 record and an at-large bid to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
Wiseman served as the head coach for the junior varsity girls program at Fox High School in Arnold, Mo., during the 2013-2014 season while also assisting with the varsity team that claimed its first conference title in over 20 years. Prior to Fox High School, Wiseman served as a varsity assistant for two seasons at Ursuline Academy. The Bears had two strong postseason runs, which included notching the program’s most single season wins with 21 during the 2011-12 season.
Wiseman played collegiately at Maryville University before serving as a student assistant coach. While playing for the Saints, he was an Academic All-Conference selection, led the team in grade point average, and served on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Wiseman earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and sociology in 2012, and he graduated with his master's degree in sports psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2014.
