Taylor Birch will begin her second season as an assistant coach in 2024-25.
Birch guided the Lions to a 7-21 record in 2023-24. Lindenwood found itself in many close games, dropping eight contests by seven points or less. The black and gold led the OVC in turnover margin at +3.68. Ellie Brueggemann had an outstanding freshman campaign, averaging 13.8 points per game, which led to second team and all newcomer selections. Makayla Wallace set a new single season program record for steals with 72. She averaged 2.6 steals per game last season, tied for tops in the conference. It also ranked 24th nationally.
Birch joins the Lindenwood staff after spending the last two seasons as a graduate assistant at Drury University,
Birch was a member of the women's basketball team at Bethany, and her collegiate playing career featured time a Southwest Baptist in 2019-20 and two seasons at Butler Community College. At Butler, Birch played in 64 games, started in 47, and helped her team to two conference championships, a regional title, and an appearance in the NJCAA Division I tournament.
The Emporia, Kan. native recently graduated from Drury University with a Masters in Integrative Leadership.
