Celena Handogo joined the women's rugby staff as assistant coach in the summer of 2015.
The Indianapolis, Ind., native brings experience in athletic performance and coaching to the program. She recently spent time at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., where she assisted the USA Women's 7's Rugby team as it went through the process of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics. She was also involved in coaching track and field and Paralympic athletes, as well as cyclists.
Prior to that, Handojo assisted in the weight room at Indiana University while she attended the school, helping women's basketball, rowing, soccer, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, and swimming athletes. She also played 15's rugby as an open-side flanker while at IU, and coached a high school team. She graduated with a degree in kinesiology.
Handojo is currently attending Lindenwood pursuing a Master of Science degree in Human Performance.
