Darren Wynn

Darren Wynn enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Lindenwood men’s and women’s wrestling program.

Prior to joining the Lions, Wynn served in the same capacity for the Indian Hills wrestling staff, beginning in August 2021. During his two seasons at Indian Hills, Wynn helped lead the Warriors to two women's wrestling national titles.

He also assisted in leading the Warriors to their first-ever NJCAA National Championship in 2023 along with four individual national champions and 17 NJCAA All-Americans to go along with 11 NWCA Scholar All-Americans. During his first season on the Warrior staff, Wynn helped guide the program to the 2022 JCNC Team and Dual National Championships along with 13 All-Americans and three individual champions.

Wynn joined the Warrior program after serving as the graduate assistant coach at Life University (GA). While at Life, Wynn assisted in guiding the program to a third-place finish at the 2019 NAIA National Tournament. The Eagles also reached the finals of the NWCA NAIA National Duals. He also led five (5) student-athletes to All-American status and seven to Scholar All-America status.

Prior to his tenure at Life, Wynn wrestled collegiately at NCAA DII McKendree University (IL). Wynn finished his career as one of the most decorated collegiate wrestlers after garnering four All-American seasons, including an individual national championship at the 141-pound weight class. Wynn also achieved two second-place finishes at the national tournament.

A native of Champaign, Illinois, Wynn was a two-time state qualifier at Centennial High School and earned a runner-up finish as a senior.

Wynn received an undergraduate degree from McKendree in Psychology and a master's degree in Positive Psychology from Life. He was inducted into the McKendree University Hall of Fame in 2023.
