Kristen Revis

Kristen Revis returned to the position of Golden Line head coach in August, 2014.  She was originally chosen to lead the new program in the spring of 2012, but briefly left during the 2013-14 season.  Revis brings over 27 years of dancing experience and a decade of dance instruction to the position. 

She was a member of the Suite Talkin’ Feet Dance Company and Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company at the Charmette Academy of Dance at an early age and received many high score and other special awards for her performances as a soloist, in duets and trios, and in groups.  Revis was a cheerleader and pom pon girl at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, Mo., where she received two Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) All-Star awards and a Universal Dance Association (UDA) All-Star award.

Revis began instructing dance in 2002 at the Charmette Academy of Dance and continues to be a lead teacher today.  From 2003 to 2009, she also served as an assistant director at the same academy for the Stars of Tomorrow Dance Company.  Her students have won many high score awards at the regional and national level as well as Power Pak tour honors.  She was named the 2005 American Dance Awards (ADA) Young Choreographer and won a choreography award at the 2004 Starpower Competition.  Her “Steam Heat” program also won second place in the Grand National Championships at the Showbiz Nationals in 2007. 

Revis was the head assistance varsity dance team coach of the “Mystique” at Marquette High School in Chesterfield, Mo. from 2004 to 2006.  Under her direction, the team took first in their home routine at both the NDA and UDA summer camps and several members were All-Star award winners.  Her team also won the 6A Kick division at the Missouri State Dance Team Competition in 2005 and 2006, took second in the 6A Pom and Prop division in 2006, and received multiple awards at regional competitions such as the St. Charles (Mo.) Classic and the Yvonne Cole Lindbergh Invitational. 

Revis is a certified member, secretary, and Miss Dance Competition chairperson of Dance Masters of America, a member of Chapter #21 of the St. Louis Dancing Teachers Association, a member of the Missouri Dance Team Association, and is a certified coach through the Missouri State High School Activities Association.   She currently judges dance team competitions and works with local high school dance teams throughout the area.

Revis is also an Admissions and Financial Aid Counselor at Lindenwood University.  She graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and received her secondary education certification.  She completed her secondary educational administration degree in 2010.
