Kyle Campbell enters his fifth season with the men’s basketball staff for the 2026-27 season.
In 2025-26, Campbell helped lead the Lions to their most successful season at the Division I level, finishing the season with an overall record of 18-15 and an OVC record of 11-9. The 18 wins and 11 conference wins were both the most in a single season in the D1 Era. Throughout the season, the Lions ranked top 50 nationally in several offensive categories including fastbreak points per game (16.3, 9th) and offensive rebounds per game (12.8, 38th), while leading the Ohio Valley Conference in free throws attempted (759), and total assists (479). The 2025-26 squad combined for a D1 Era record 26 double doubles, with Sophomore Guard Jadis Jones leading the way with 10. Anderson also coached three All-OVC Selections in Anias Futrell, Dontrez Williams, and Jones, who all finished inside the top 10 in the OVC in points per game. As a whole, Lindenwood ranked second overall in the OVC in scoring offense (77.8 ppg), while ranking third in field goal percentage (45.3%). Defensively, the Lions led the conference in blocks (149), while ranking third in defensive three point field goal percentage (30.5%), and defensive field goal percentage (42.4%).
Under the guidance of Campbell in 2024-25, Lindenwood posted their most wins since the 2018-19 season and their most conference wins since the 2020-21 season. The Lions boasted the third best turnover margin in the OVC with a 2.09. Lindenwood forced teams into 484 turnovers which ranked the second most by a team in the conference. OVC Freshman of the Year and All-OVC Second Team Selection Jadis Jones was selected as the OVC Freshman of the Week 12 times breaking a 22-year-old OVC record. Markieth Browning II was also named to the All-OVC Second Team
During the 2023-24 season, Campbell helped Keenon Cole earn second team all-conference honors. The Stremwood, Ill.native averaged 18.1 points per game, which ranked fourth in the OVC. Cole poured in a career-high 42 points in a 74-68 road win over SEMO on January 11. For his performance, Cole was tabbed the OVC Player of the Week as well as being recognized as one of the Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week.
In 2022-23, Lindenwood earned a spot in the OVC Championship tournament after a wild ending to the year. The Lions took down in-state rival Southeast Missouri State in double-overtime to keep their postseason hopes alive. In the final game of the regular season, Lindenwood needed a win to move on, and Kevin Caldwell Jr. answered the call with a game-winning bucket in overtime.
Lindenwood led the OVC in free-throw percentage (75.6), and was second in the OVC in three-point percentage (39.1). Chris Childs held the top spot in the league with a free-throw percentage of 92.7, while Keenon Cole was atop the OVC with a three-point percentage of 51.0 percent. The Lions clawed their way to three overtime wins on the season. Lindenwood also posted two comeback victories from 20 points down, and another 17-point comeback during OVC play.
Campbell comes to Lindenwood after spending three seasons at Coffeyville Community College as the associate head coach. Campbell helped lead Coffeyville to the 2021 NJCAA National Title. In his three years on staff, Coffeyville claimed the 2020 Region VI Championship, and compiled an overall record of 71-24 since 2019.
Campbell stopped at Sam Houston State for two seasons, helping the program to an overall record of 42-27 in the span. Campbell and the Bearkats won the Southland Conference Championship in 2019 regular season, which led to an appearance in the NIT Tournament.
From 2012-17, Campbell served as the head coach at Dodge City Community College, posting a record of 91-67. In 2015, Dodge City was the NJCAA regional runner-up. Campbell helped guide eight NJCAA all-conference selections, five all-region selections, and saw eight of his players go on to play at the NCAA Division I level.
Campbell jumped into the coaching ranks at Coffeyville Community College from 2006-12 as an assistant coach. During his first stint with the Ravens, Campbell helped the program to a 164-43 record, and guided 15 players to the NCAA Division I ranks. The Ravens won two regional titles, with four KJCCC Championships. In addition to his collegiate coaching, Campbell spent two summers as the head boys coach in the Kansas Select 17U AAU Summer Program, in which he combined for a record of 58-12.
Campbell earned his degree in educational studies from Hastings College in 2006.
