Payton Hutchins was hired in the Summer of 2025 and comes from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois where he became the primary contact for all 17 sports as a Graduate Assistant in 2024-2025.
Prior to becoming a GA, Payton helped the Western Illinois Athletic Department by live tweeting during home events and helped stat volleyball, basketball, and baseball games. He was also the Public Address Announcer for Soccer and Softball home games. Hutchins was a Men's Basketball Student Manager for three years, in which he was apart of a 21 win season in 2023-2024. The 21 wins was the most for the program since 2012-2013.
During his time at WIU, Hutchins received both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in a span of five years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Broadcasting and Journalism, and his Master's Degree in Sport Management.
Hutchins is a native of Sherrard, Illinois.
