Tom Wagganer is starting his 15th year working in the Lindenwood Athletics Department in 2024-25, and his seventh year as the Senior Associate Athletic Director, External Operations.
Wagganer has a prominent role in the day-to-day operations of the athletics department. He directly oversees facilities, game operations, ticket operations, sports information, equipment, concessions, and has sports administration responsibilities. He also assists the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics with strategic planning and future capital projects.
Prior to joining the athletics department in 2010 while working towards his master’s degree in Sports Management, Wagganer spent over ten years working in minor league sports. Most recently, Wagganer served as General Manager of the Dakota Wizards of the NBA Development League from 2006 to 2009. During his time in North Dakota, the Wizards were consistently among the league leaders in ticket sales and won the NBA Development League championship during the 2006-07 season.
In addition to his time in North Dakota, Wagganer also spent time with two other NBA Development League franchises. During the 2005-06 season he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Tulsa 66ers and spent four years in various roles with the Huntsville (Ala.) Flight, including serving as the Team President from 2004-05. Wagganer’s previous work experience also includes time as the Group Sales Manager for the Sacramento Kings.
Wagganer, a native of St. Louis, has experience in St. Charles. Fresh off his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas, he spent three years in various ticket sales and operational positions with the management group that operated the St. Louis Swarm, St. Louis Steamers and the RiverCity Renegades that played at the St. Charles Family Arena.
