In round one of the HAAC postseason soccer tournament, the Lindenwood Lions upset the no. 4 seed Baker University. Up next, for the Lions was the no. 1 seed and regular-season champs, Benedictine. The Lions would pull another upset on Wednesday night with a 1-0 win over the Ravens.
Lindenwood would score the game's only goal in the 28th minute when sophomore
Mauricio Medina scored with help from
Victor Alvardo. The game would go the half 1-0 and the Lions defense did the rest.
Lions' freshman goalie
Victor Francoz was once again stellar in the net. Francoz stopped all of the Ravens shots and has yet to allow a goal in the HAAC postseason tournament.
Up next for the Lions is the HAAC postseason tournament final against the no. 3 seed Missouri Valley Vikings on Friday night in Marshal, Mo. at 7 p.m.
