The No. 25 Lindenwood women's volleyball team advanced to Saturday's HAAC tournament championship match after defeating Baker 25-21, 27-25, 27-29, 25-23 Wednesday night at the Hyland Arena.
The Lady Lions were led by the duo of
Ellen Fandry and
Alexandria Malam. Fandry finished with a double-double of 16 kills and 21 digs, both team-highs on the evening. Malam chipped in with 28 assists, five aces, and 11 digs.
Krista Yoder and
Kristy Dreisewerd both recorded 10 kills apiece, and
Kelsey Biggs also tallied 28 assists.
Patricia Erb posted 17 digs and
Alyssa Showers had 15. Yoder logged eight blocks and Dreisewerd added six.
The win means Lindenwood (32-12, 8-2) will be playing for the HAAC championship for the fourth time in the last six years. The Lady Lions will host MidAmerica Nazarene on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Pioneers knocked off top-seeded Evangel earlier tonight to advance to the finals.
