Lindenwood men's ice hockey players Steve Balint and Grant Gorczyca have been selected to represent Team USA at the upcoming 2011 Winter World University Games in Erzurum, Turkey.
The two Lions are part of a 22-man roster comprised of players from the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Lindenwood is one of six schools that have more than one representative.
Balint, a senior from Grosse Ile, Mich., appeared in 41 games last season for Lindenwood. He posted 14 goals and 37 assists.
Gorczyca, a sophomore from St. Louis, Mo., was named the CSCHL's Rookie of the Year after scoring 20 goals and netting 40 assists for the Lions.
Both Balint and Gorczyca were named to the ACHA All-Tournament team this past season after leading Lindenwood to its second straight national championship.
The World Games will be held from January 27-February 6.
