The Lindenwood men's soccer team was back on the field Friday night after losing its first game of the season earlier in the week. The Lions would bounce back and defeat visiting Hannibal-LaGrange 2-1 at Harlen C. Hunter Stadium.
The Lions would score the first goal of the game when #Dule Djurasevic# netted his first goal of the season giving the Lions the 1-0 lead. Lindenwood would tack on one more late in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room.
The game would stay 2-0 all the way until the 86th minute when Hannibal-LaGrange was awarded a penalty kick. The Trojans would connect cutting the lead to one. They could not get the game-tying goal, however, and the Lions would win 2-1.
Victor Francoz started in net for the Lions and gave up just one goal while making four saves.
With the win, the Lions improve to 3-1 and will next take on Harris-Stowe on September 15.
