The Lindenwood men's soccer team started its HAAC portion of the schedule with a 2-0 win over MidAmerica Nazarene Saturday afternoon.
Lindenwood jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when Maurico Medina scored his third goal of the season. The Lions would hold the slim lead heading into the half.
To open the second half both teams played a defensive style game. In the 74th minute the Lions offense broke through when Igor Inic finished off a perfect pass from Dule Djurasevic to give the Lions a 2-0 lead.
Victor Francoz started in the net for the Lions and recorded his fourth shutout of the year stopping all five of the Pioneers shots.
With the win the Lions improve to 7-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
