Over the weekend the men's and women's swimming and diving teams took on a pair of NCAA programs. The men's team fell to Southern Illinois 179-57 but beat Washington University 114-105. The women fell to Southern Illinois 179-37 and Washington 179-29.
On the men's side, Collin Sharpe led the way for the Lions finishing second in the one meter and third in the three meter diving competition. Other top finishers were led by Uba Zavaleta, who finished second in the 200 yard freestyle. Javier Hernandez placed second in the 100 yard butterfly, Cody Friedhoff finished second in the 500 yard freestyle, and Reinis Rozensteines finished second in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Sarah Billamosa and Vicoria Lowe led the way for the Lady Lions finishing in fifth place in the 100 yard backstroke and 400 yard individual medley respectively.
