Samantha Redick scored twice and
Briar Bache earned her first collegiate victory as the Lindenwood women's hockey team defeated Bethel by a 4-3 score on Saturday afternoon.
Lindenwood scored three times in the second period with two goals from Redick and one from
Caitlyn Post. The second goal by Redick put Lindenwood ahead for good at 3-2.
Jordyn Constance added another goal for the Lady Lions midway through the final period, and that proved to be the game-winner when Bethel scored just once late in the game.
Bache made the start in goal and recorded 41 saves on the way to her first victory. She helped the Lady Lions win despite being outshot by a 44-35 margin.
Katie Erickson was +3 on the afternoon and
Kelsey Talbot and
Sydney Gorzitza were both +2.
Kendra Broad and
Mara Post each had an assist.
Lindenwood concludes its weekend road trip on Sunday afternoon with a contest at St. Olaf.
