Kramer Soderberg surpassed 1,000 career points in a Lindenwood uniform, the Lions cruised to an 85-59 win over the Culver-Stockton Wildcats on Tuesday night in St. Charles, Mo.
Soderberg was just eight points away from the career milestone and early in the second half the senior become the eighth Lion to score 1,000 on a patented drive and scoop bucket.
From the opening tip it was all Lindenwood. The Lions jumped out to an early lead and headed into the locker room with a 16 point advantage.
Culver-Stockton mounted a little run to start the second half to cut the lead to 10 but that was as close as the Wildcats got.
Lindenwood shot 44 percent from the field and 47 percent from behind the arc. The Lions outrebounded Culver 44-32 and forced the visitors into 13 turnovers.
Soderberg led the way with 18 points and compiled three steals.
Alex Bazzell chipped in with 14 and a game-high five assists.
Efkan Eren scored 13 while grabbing six rebounds, and
Cody Sorenson had a 11 points while shooting a perfect three-for-three.
The win improves Lindenwood to 22-2 and has now won six in a row. The Lions will have some time off until Feb. 11 when they take on Urbana at the Hyland Arena.
