Box Score The Lindenwood women's soccer team travelled to Kirksville, Mo. on Sunday afternoon to take on the Truman Bulldogs. Truman scored three goals in the first half and rolled to a 5-0 win.
For the first 30 minutes of the contest, neither team was able to score a goal. With 15 minutes to play in the first half, the Bulldogs and forward Alexis Heffernan caught fire. Heffernan scored three-straight goals in a 12 minute span and Truman took a 3-0 lead into the break.
The Bulldogs added a goal in the 70
th minute and one in the 79
th. Truman outshot Lindenwood 29-4 which included just two shots on goal for the Lady Lions.
The loss drops Lindenwood to 4-6-1 on the year and 0-6 in MIAA play. Up next for the Lady Lions is road contest against Emporia State on Oct. 12.
