The Lindenwood men's wrestling team competed in the Maryville/Kaufman-Brand Open on Saturday. Two Lion wrestlers performed well enough to place in their respective divisions of the tournament. Blayne Shockley (125 lbs) and Matt Greene (174 lbs) both wrestled their way to 6^th place finishes.

After losing his opening match, Shockley reeled off three straight wins by decision in the consolation bracket. He would come up short in the 5^th place match, earning 6^th place in his division. Shockley finished the day with a 3-3 record.

In the 174 pound division, Lindenwood's Matt Greene won his first three matches by decision to advance to the semifinals of the tournament before losing to eventual champion Cody Johnston of Missouri. Greene would lose two more very close matches in the consolation bracket to finish 6^th place overall in his division. Greene earned a 3-3 record on the day.
