Series Notes
- Lindenwood begins College Hockey America play this week when it hosts a two-game series at the Lindenwood Ice Arena against RIT.
- The Lady Lions and RIT are both in their second season in the CHA. Lindenwood finished fifth in the CHA last year with a 7-10-3 mark. RIT tied for third with a 7-8-5 record.
- Lindenwood is 0-9-1 this year during its early non-conference portion of the schedule. RIT enters play this week with a 4-5-0 mark.
- The two teams have not played a common opponent yet this season. The Lady Lions are 0-4-0 against nationally-ranked teams, while RIT is 0-2-0 against ranked opponents.
- Lindenwood is 1-1-2 all-time against RIT, with all four games taking place last season. In Rochester, the Tigers won the opener 5-1 before a 1-1 tie in game two. In Wentzville, the two teams tied again 1-1 in the first game, before Lindenwood won 4-3 in game two.

Nicole Hensley was 1-0-2 against RIT last year. In those games, she had a 1.58 GAA and a .958 save percentage. Hensley did not allow an even-strength goal against the Tigers.
- Among current players who have played this season,
Kendra Broad leads Lindenwood with four points against RIT, including three assists.
Lyndsay Kirkham has two goals and one assist against the Tigers, and
Katie Erickson has one goal and one assist.

- The final game between these two teams last year was one of the most exciting of the season for Lindenwood.
Alison Wickenheiser broke a tie with 6.2 seconds remaining with an assist from
Alyssa West.
- Lindenwood is 0-4-0 at home this season, including a 0-2-0 mark at the Lindenwood Ice Arena. RIT is 1-2-0 in away contests.
A Look Back At Wisconsin
- Lindenwood lost a pair of games to the No. 2 team in NCAA Division I last week. The Lady Lions fell to Wisconsin by scores of 5-1 and 4-1.
- The Lady Lions tied game one at the 17:01 mark in the first period, but the Badgers scored the final four goals of the game.
- Lindenwood trailed just 2-1 with ten minutes remaining in the second game of the series, before the Badgers scored two goals in the final eight minutes.

Lyndsay Kirkham had one goal and one assist in the series. Those two points were her first two of the season.

Caitlyn Post had Lindenwood's other goal. It was also her first point of 2013-14.

Nicole Hensley saw all of the action in goal for the Lady Lions. She had a .906 save percentage against the Badgers.
- The game two result was the lowest goal total and lowest margin of victory for a nationally-ranked opponent playing against Lindenwood.
Lindenwood Notes

Chelsea Witwicke will play in her 100th career collegiate game with an appearance this weekend. She played in 55 games at Niagara to start her career, and has played in 44 games in a Lindenwood uniform. As a Lady Lion, she has recorded two goals and 14 assists.
- The only Lindenwood player who has played in over 100 collegiate games is
Jocelyn Slattery. She has played in 112 games, with 68 at Connecticut and 44 at Lindenwood.

Kendra Broad and
Jordyn Constance are the leaders with 75 games played in a Lindenwood uniform. They are the only two to play in every game the Lady Lions have had in their NCAA era.
- In CHA play last season,
Alison Wickenheiser led Lindenwood with nine goals and 17 points. Wickenheiser has not appeared in a game yet this season.

Lyndsay Kirkham had a team-high 11 assists in conference action and was second on the team with 15 points.

Nicole Hensley had a 7-4-3 record in CHA play last year. She had a 2.39 GAA and a .939 save percentage in those games.
- CHA commissioner Robert M. DeGregorio, Jr. will be on hand this weekend to hand out the CHA Student-Athlete of the Year awards from last season. Eleven CHA players earned that honor including Lindenwood players

College Hockey America Notes
- One CHA team, Mercyhurst, is nationally-ranked. The Lakers are No. 8 in the USCHO.com poll and in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.
- The preseason CHA polls had Mercyhurst first, followed by Syracuse, Robert Morris, RIT, Lindenwood, and Penn State.
- The CHA Players of the Week are: Robert Morris' Kristen Richards (Player of the Week), Robert Morris' Courtney Vinet and Jessica Dodds (Goalie of the Week), and Robert Morris' Brittany Howard (Rookie of the Week).
About RIT
- RIT is 4-5-0 on the season after alternating wins and losses for every game this season. Two of the team's five losses have come in overtime.
- The Badgers are averaging 2.4 goals a game and allowing 3.2 goals a contest.
- RIT is converting 21.3 percent of its power-play chances, and it is allowing goals on 20.4 percent of its penalty-kill chances.
- Kourtney Kunichika leads the team with five goals and seven points. Nine different players have at least three assists.
- Ali Binnington has seen most of the action in goal. She has a 2.63 GAA and a .914 save percentage.
- Head coach of RIT is Scott McDonald. He is in his eighth season as a Tiger and has a career mark of 155-43-15. McDonald helped RIT win the 2012 NCAA Division III National Championship.
