Lindenwood wrestlers had a solid showing at the Kaufman-Brand Open hosted by Maryville University on Saturday.

Matt Katusin, Kyle Webb, and Derrick Weller each placed fourth in their weight classes. All three wrestlers lost their third place matches to Division I opponents from the University of Missouri.

Katusin started his day with a pin fall victory in the 133 weight class. Matt fell short in the third place match in a 6-3 decision. Webb recorded two pins in his 141 weight class including one win over his teammate Colton Orlando advance him into the third place match. Weller lost to Keenan Hagerty of Maryville in his second match of the open and Hagerty would be the eventual champion in the 165 weight class. Weller won three matches by way of decision and lost a 4-0 decision in the third place match.

Orlando placed 6^th in his 141 weight class.

The Lions will travel to Indianapolis, Ind. on Saturday for a two day tournament at the Midwest Classic beginning at 9 a.m.
