The Lindenwood wrestling team earned its first win of the season over Newman University on Sunday by a score of 39-6.

Kenny Breaux started off the day and his Lindenwood career with a 7-3 decision victory. Steven Butler beat No. 8 Lorenzo Serna 5-2 in the heavyweight class.

Matt Katusin and Kyle Webb each won their matches by pinning their opponents in less than one minute. Colton Orlando and Morgan Fitzgerald each defeated their opponents by pinfall as well.

The Lions will host McKendree on Wednesday at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
