Women's Hockey Hosts "Pink The Rink" Series

Lindenwood Game Notes Robert Morris Game Notes CHA Weekly Notes

Series Notes
- Lindenwood returns home for the first time since mid-December this weekend when it hosts nationally-ranked Robert Morris in a two-game series. The two teams will play at 7 p.m. on Friday and again at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

- Friday night's contest will be the team's second annual "Pink the Rink" in which the program will raise money to fight breast cancer.

- The Lady Lions enter the series with a 2-20-2 overall record and they are in fifth place in the CHA with a 2-9-1 mark.

- Robert Morris enters the series ranked eighth in NCAA Division I in both national polls. The Colonials are 20-4-2 overall and lead the CHA with a 9-2-1 mark.

- The two teams played a pair of close games earlier this season in Pittsburgh, Pa. Robert Morris won the first game 3-2 after it scored the game-winning goal with just 47 seconds remaining. The Colonials won the second game by a 3-1 margin.

- Jocelyn Slattery had two of Lindenwood's three goals in the first series with Robert Morris. Lyndsay Kirkham assisted on two of the goals.

- The Lady Lions did not allow a power-play goal on seven penalty kills in the first series with Robert Morris. Lindenwood was one-for-seven on the power play.

- Lindenwood is 3-9-0 all-time against Robert Morris, including a 2-2-0 mark in Wentzville, Mo.

- The Lady Lions earned a conference sweep over the Colonials when they played last season in Wentzville. Lindenwood won 3-2 in overtime in game one, and then won game two by a 4-2 margin.

- Lindenwood is looking for its first win against a ranked team. The Lady Lions are 0-19-0 all-time, including a 0-4-0 mark this year.

A Look Back At RIT
- Lindenwood started the second half of conference play last weekend at RIT. The Lady Lions were swept in the CHA series.

- The Lady Lions recorded a season-high in goals, assists, and points in the first game of the series but fell 4-3.

- Lindenwood was shutout in game two of the series by a 2-0 margin.

- The Lady Lions outscored RIT in the series 2-1 during the first and third periods, but they were outscored 5-1 in the second periods.

- Lindenwood received goals from Alyssa West, Caitlyn Post, and Lyndsay Kirkham. Holly Dietzler, Katie Erickson, Chelsea Witwicke, and Kendra Broad each had an assist.

- Nicole Hensley recorded a .921 save percentage for the two games.

- Lindenwood was one-for-ten on the power play, while RIT was one-for-nine.

- Caitlyn Post, Alyssa West, and Chelsea Witwicke each had a +1 plus/minus during game one of the series.

Lindenwood Notes
- Kendra Broad recorded her 10th point of the season last weekend against RIT. She becomes the first Lindenwood player to have double-figure points in all three of the team's NCAA seasons. Broad has 42 points for her career with 17 goals and 25 assists.

- Alyssa West is three points away this season from matching Broad in that feat. She recorded the 50th point of her career last weekend. She now has 19 goals and 31 assists for her career.

- Katie Erickson had her eighth point of the season last weekend, which matches her career-best total for a season.

- Holly Dietzler assisted on Lindenwood's power-play goal in game one of the RIT series. That assist was the first collegiate point for Dietzler.

- Katie Erickson is tied for the team-high with five goals, and leads the team with four power-play goals and six power-play points. In just CHA games, she is second in the league in power-play goals and fifth in power-play points.

- Jocelyn Slattery is tied for the team-high with five goals, and is also tied with the best plus/minus on the squad.

- Kendra Broad and Chelsea Witwicke each have a team-high six assists. Broad also leads the team with 10 points.

- In CHA games, goalie Nicole Hensley is third in the conference with a .928 save percentage. She has a 2.63 GAA in those games.

- Since the start of November, Chelsea Witwicke has collected four assists, and she has a +1 plus/minus. The team's top defenseman also has a team-high 34 blocks on the year.

CHA Notes
- Two CHA teams are nationally-ranked this year. Robert Morris is eighth in the nation in both polls, and Mercyhurst is tenth nationally in both rankings.

- This weekend's CHA schedule sees Mercyhurst at Syracuse, RIT at Penn State, and Robert Morris at Lindenwood.

- The reigning CHA Players of the Week are: Syracuse's Melissa Piacentini (Player of the Week), Syracuse's Jenesica Drinkwater (Goalie of the Week), and Robert Morris' Mackenzie Johnston (Rookie of the Week).

About Robert Morris
- Robert Morris is having one of its top seasons in program history. The Colonials had a 14-game unbeaten streak until falling to Mercyhurst last Saturday.

- The Colonials rank seventh in the nation by allowing just 1.7 goals a game. They are also in the top ten in penalty killing and fewest shots on goal allowed.

- Offensively, Robert Morris is scoring nearly three goals a game, which ranks 10th in the nation.

- Rebecca Vint, the school's career goals leader, has a team-high 17 this season. Brittany Howard leads the team with 20 assists and 32 points.

- Jessica Dodds is the team's top goalie. Seh has a 1.54 GAA, a .937 save percentage, and a 17-1-2 record.

- Paul Colontino is the head coach. He is 54-28-9 in his third year at the school.

Up Next
- Lindenwood heads back east next week with a two-game series on Feb. 8-9 at Penn State. The Lady Lions went 1-1-0 against the Nittany Lions earlier this year.
