Lindenwood's field hockey team played their second game of the weekend against Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. and won 2-1 for their fourth consecutive victory.

The Lady Lions failed to score a goal in the first half, but they also managed to prevent Dowling from scoring a goal. This led to a halftime score of 0-0. Lindenwood managed to find the back of the net just three minutes into the second half though on a shot by
Ashton Lichvar on an assist from
Karlie Quinn. Mercy answered back later in the second half to even the score at one.
Megan Pranger responded  with a goal of her own to secure the 2-1 win for the Lady Lions.

The Lady Lions outshot Mercy 21-11 and 8 to 5 in shots on goal.
Victoria Gil had four saves to continue her stellar play. During the four game win streak, Gil has allowed scores of 2, 0, 2, and 1.
Carly Brengosz led the Lions in shots for the second consecutive game with ten, but couldn't find the back of the net.

The win puts the Lady Lions record at 6-4. Coming up next for the Lions is a conference game against Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C. against Limestone College on October 18th.
