The Lindenwood men's soccer team beat the Southwest Baptist Bearcats on Saturday 1-0 in Bolivar, Mo.
The two teams played a very defensive style of game for almost all 90 minutes. The first goal of the game did not come until the 82
nd minute.
Alfredo Paez scored the game's only goal to give the Lions the 1-0 lead.
The two teams combined for just 17 shots and only seven were on goal.
Andrew Hamerlinck earned the shutout for the Lions but was only forced to make two saves.
With the win Lindenwood improves its record to 6-4-3 overall and 4-2-1 in MIAA play. The Lions will continue their road trip with a game against Upper Iowa on Oct. 16.
