The Lindenwood women's volleyball program lost a hard-fought battle with Emporia State on Saturday night at Hyland Arena. The Lady Lions fell by scores of 25-23, 31-29, and 25-19.

The first two sets went down to the wire with Emporia State winning both by just two points. The final set was tied at 18, before the Hornets closed out the match on a 7-1 run.

Lindenwood had more kills and service aces in the match, but Emporia State outblocked Lindenwood 13-6 which proved to be the difference.

Alex Dahlstrom led Lindenwood with 12 kills, and
Kayla Guyot had 10 kills and three blocks.
Sarah-Jane Pavlik recorded 39 assists and four assists,
Nicole Hallam had two service aces,and Â
Kristin Burnett collected 13 digs.

Lindenwood falls to 5-18 overall and 2-13 in MIAA action. The Lady Lions go on their final road trip of the season next weekend to Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.
