The Lindenwood Lady Lions soccer team dropped a tough conference game in overtime 2-1 to the Missouri Western Griffons on Sunday afternoon in St. Joseph, Mo.

The Lady Lions jumped out to an early lead in the 10^th minute when Becky Roberts scored her seventh goal of the season. The Griffons finally tied up the game in the 69h minute and that was all the scoring in regulation.

Just six minutes into extra time, Missouri Western ended the game with the golden goal off the foot of Sydney Andrews.

The loss drops Lindenwood to 6-7-3 overall and 5-5-2 in MIAA play. The Lady Lions will be back on the road Friday Oct. 31 against the Central Missouri Jennies.
