The Lindenwood women's volleyball team fell on Tuesday night at Hyland Arena to Missouri Western. The Lady Lions lost by scores of 24-26, 25-17, 25-18, and 25-20.

The Griffons came into the match ranked first in the MIAA in hitting percentage, but Lindenwood held them to negative hitting in the first set. Lindenwood still trailed 23-19 when it fought back to tie the game at 23. After a Missouri Western point, Lindenwood scored three more in a row to win the set.
Shannon Doyle and
Aleah Rosenau both had three kills in that 7-1 run, and
Alex Dahlstrom had a service ace.

Missouri Western's offense improved just enough to win the next three sets. The Griffons hit .243 for the rest of the match, while Lindenwood hit just .065 in the three sets won by Missouri Western. Both teams finished with 47 kills and six service aces. Lindenwood had five more digs, and the Griffons had five more blocks.

Doyle finished with a double-double of 19 kills and 16 digs. Rosenau and
Kayla Guyot each had nine kills.
Sarah-Jane Pavlik led the team with 34 assists and 18 digs, Dahlstrom had a team-high three aces, and Guyot recorded five blocks.
Anna Reichert was in double-figures in digs with 16.

Lindenwood concludes its season this Saturday afternoon with a 2 p.m. match at Hyland Arena against Northwest Missouri.
