The No. 10 Lindenwood wrestling team started its 2014-15 season at the Central Missouri Open on Sunday afternoon in Warrensburg, Mo. The Lions had three wrestlers finish in the top five led by John McArdle who finished in second place.

McArdle was the highest finisher for the Lions after losing a tough match in the finals of the 184 weight class to Cody Caldwell of Northern Illinois. The senior lost in the finals by the score of 8-3.

Kenny Breaux had a busy day after finishing in third place at 197. After winning his first match, Breaux would fall in round two to Basil Minto of Northern Iowa. Then Breaux would rattle of six straight wins including his final match was for third place.

Kyle Webb was the final Lion to finish in the top five. Just like Breaux, Webb dropped his second round match but then when on a winning streak. Webb won four straight matches but then fell right before the third place match. After his loss he came right back and won the fifth place match.

The Lions will be in St. Charles Nov. 22 for the Joe Parisi Open at Hyland Arena.
