The Lindenwood Lady Lions got a career night from sophomore
Bre Zanders in an 80-43 win over Selma at the FCA & Zaxby's Tip-Off Classic in Clinton, Miss.
Zanders came off the bench for the Lady Lions and dominated the night. She scored a career-high 17 points and grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds. Zanders was six-of-seven from the field to go along with a five-for-six game from the free throw line.
Lindenwood dominated from the opening tip holding the lead for all but 20 seconds of the game. The Lady Lions ended the first half leading by 16. The halftime break did not slow the Lindenwood offense down, the team actually shot better in the final 20 minutes. The Lady Lions shot 64 percent from the field and outscored Selma by 27 in the final half.
Jonna Raflund also scored a career-high with 10 points while freshman
Bri Wilber scored 13. For the game Lindenwood shot 56 percent from the field and dominated the glass winning the rebounding battle 58-34.
The win improved the Lady Lions to 3-0 on the season. Lindenwood will be right back in action Saturday afternoon against Lane College.
