Gold DivisionBlack DivisionThe Fourth Annual Joe Parisi Open came to a conclusion after a full Saturday of wrestling. Lindenwood hosted the event that brought some of the top wrestling teams in the country. The Open was divided into two divisions this year, the Gold division was an open bracket, while the Black was reserved for just freshman and sophomore wrestlers.
Lindenwood did not only host the event, but had some wrestlers experience success. Leading the way in the Gold division for Lions was an unattached wrestler, Terrell Wilbourn, who lost in the 149 finals 4-1, giving him a second-place finish in the tournament.
Kenny Breaux also placed, finishing fourth in the 197 weight class, after falling just short in the third-place match, 3-1.
Standing out for Lindenwood in the Black division were unattached wrestlers
Jared Mestas in the 133-pound class, and
Kyle Jolas in the 165, both placing fourth.
