Shannon Doyle had one of the best hitting performances of the year for the Lindenwood women's volleyball team on Saturday night in Hyland Arena, but the Lady Lions lost to Missouri Southern by scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-16, and 25-20.
Â
Doyle finished with 21 kills in the match on 44 swings. The 21 kills ties for the second-most by a Lindenwood player this year, just one shy of the 22 Doyle put up back on Sept. 6 against Alderson Broaddus. Doyle also had a double-double after recording a team-high 14 digs.
Â
Kayla Guyot had 13 kills in the match. She led the team with a .400 hitting percentage and four blocks.
Sarah-Jane Pavlik recorded 49 assists, and
Anna Reichert continued her season-long double-figure dig streak with 10.
Alex Dahlstrom had two of Lindenwood's three service aces.
Â
Lindenwood is home again on Tuesday evening with a 7 p.m. match against Missouri Western.
