Box Score The battle between the No. 1 offense and the No. 1 defense in the MIAA was won by the offense on Thursday night in Edmond, Okla. Central Oklahoma defeated Lindenwood in the conference opener for both teams by a 93-70 score.

The Bronchos came into the game averaging just under 90 points a contest, and it surpassed that mark against a Lindenwood squad that was allowing just 63.2 points a game. Central Oklahoma shot 68 percent from the field, including 47.4 percent from three-point range. It also made 11 more free throws in the contest than the Lions.

The Lions shot 44.3 percent from the field, made 11 three-pointers, and turned it over nine times. That was not enough though to overcome the Bronchos hot shooting.

Four Lions were in double-figure scoring led by
Cory Arentsen with 16 points. He shot 50 percent from the field and made three three-pointers.
LJ McIntosh scored 14 points off the bench,
Chanse Creekmur had 12 points, and
Darris Smith collected 10 points. McIntosh also led the team with five assists and two steals, and
Garrett Reeg and Arentsen each had a team-high four rebounds.

Lindenwood falls to 4-3 on the season. The Lions will be in action again on Saturday at Northeastern State.Â
