The Lindenwood men's basketball team could not overcome the Northeastern State RiverHawks shooting 88 percent from behind the three point line and fell 86-65 in Tahelquah, Okla.
Things started off quickly for the home team starting the contest on a 25-15 run. The RiverHawks pushed the lead up to as many as 20 in the first half but the Lions were able to cut the deficit to 14 at the buzzer.
The second half was much of the same for Northeastern State. Lindenwood could only get within 12 points in the second half.
The Lions shot just 33 percent from the field and the three point line.
Cory Arentsen led Lindenwood with 16 points and
Garrett Reeg scored 13 points. Zach Biggs led the team in rebounds with 10.
After loss the Lions dropped to 4-4 on the season and 0-2 in MIAA. Lindenwood will be back in St. Charles on Wednesday night when they take on UMSL.
