The Lindenwood University roller hockey gold team returned home to face three Great Plains Collegiate Inline Hockey Association (GPCIHL) foes at The Wheel in Wright City Mo. February 8-9. The Lions suffered an 8-7 overtime loss in the first game against Kansas State before recording 10-2 and 6-2 wins over the Billikens and Archers.

The Lions fell behind early against Kansas State but battled hard and tied the game with four goals in the third period. The Wildcats scored the game-winning goal at the 10:56 mark of the extra session to defeat the Lions 8-7 in overtime. Josh Holmes led the offense with two goals and one assist. Justin Steller also tallied to goals. Brennan Sowa made 20 saves in goal for Lindenwood.

Lindenwood put on an offensive showcase in the second game of the night against St. Louis Community College. The Lions opened up a sizeable lead in the second period and never looked back in the 10-2 victory. Adam Dowling recorded a hat trick and Patrick Dowling scored two goals and an assist to lead the Lions. Charles Robinson stopped 14 of 16 shots between the pipes.

A. Dowling led the Lions with a two goal, one assist effort in the team's 6-2 win against St. Louis University. Evan Schulte scored twice while Robinson backstopped Lindenwood with 21 saves.
