Series Notes
- Lindenwood looks to build off the biggest win in its NCAA history when it travels to Penn State this weekend for a two-game series. The Lions and Nittany Lions play at noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Lindenwood pulled off a major upset last time out, defeating No. 8 Robert Morris by a 4-2 score. The victory was the first for the Lady Lions against a nationally ranked NCAA Division I opponent.
- The Lady Lions enter play this weekend with a two-game lead over Penn State in the CHA standings. Lindenwood is 3-10-1 in conference play while the Nittany Lions are 1-12-1.
- Earlier this season, the two teams split a series in Wentzville. Lindenwood won the first game by a 2-1 score, and Penn State won game two by a 4-1 margin.
- In the first game, Lindenwood overcame a 1-0 deficit by scoring two goals in the second period. The Lady Lions outshot Penn State 35-23 in the game.
- The Nittany Lions scored three times in the first 25 minutes of game two and held on for the three-goal victory.

A Look Back At Robert Morris
- Lindenwood split a home series last weekend against No. 8 Robert Morris.
- The Lady Lions lost game one 6-1 after they gave up four third-period goals.

Brooke Peden.
- Lindenwood won game two by a 4-2 margin. The Lady Lions scored the first three goals and then held on late after Robert Morris had a power play for the final 5:01 of the game.

Jocelyn Slattery had three assists.
Katie Nokelby also assisted on one goal.

Nicole Hensley stopped 55 of 57 shots in the victory and did not allow an even-strength goal in the game.
- The victory was the first for the Lindenwood program in 21 tries against a nationally-ranked NCAA Division I program.

Kendra Broad was named CHA Player of the Week on Monday after recording two goals and two assists, and having a +1 plus/minus last weekend against Robert Morris. She is the second Lady Lion to receive the award this year, joining
Brooke Peden who won it on Sept. 30.

Katie Nokelby's assist against Robert Morris was her first collegiate point.

Jocelyn Slattery also had a career-high in points in that game with three.

Jocelyn Slattery had three assists in the win over Robert Morris. She is the fourth Lady Lions to have three or more assists in a game during the program's NCAA era, including the first in a CHA contest.

Lyndsay Kirkham's had the first game-winning goal of her career last weekend.

Nicole Hensley made 55 saves in her win last week. She has collected over 50 saves in a game seven times in her career, including two times in a CHA game.

Kendra Broad's six goals, eight assists, and 14 points this season all rank tenth in the team's single-season NCAA record book.
- Lindenwood has outshot an opponent in a game just twice this season. Both of those came in the home series with Penn State.
- Last Saturday, the Lady Lions went to the locker room after one period with the lead, the first time they have done that this season. Lindenwood is 8-2-0 all-time when leading after one period, and 12-2-2 when leading after the second period.
- With Saturday's win, Lindenwood is now 8-1-2 all-time in games played in February.
College Hockey Notes
- Two CHA teams are nationally-ranked this week. Robert Morris is eighth in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and ninth in the USCHO.com poll. Mercyhurst is tenth nationally in both rankings.
- This weekend's CHA schedule sees RIT at Mercyhurst, Syracuse at Robert Morris, and Lindenwood at Penn State.
- The reigning CHA Players of the Week are: Lindenwood's
Kendra Broad (Player of the Week), Mercyhurst's Amanda Makela (Goalie of the Week), and RIT's Brooke Stoddart (Rookie of the Week).
About Penn State
- The second-year Nittany Lions program got off to a quick start this year with a 2-3-1 mark. However, they are just 2-18-2 since that time.
- Penn State has had several good defensive showings in CHA play, allowing three or fewer goals in eight of the last 10 games.
- Penn State has struggled on special teams, scoring goals on 9.2 percent of its power plays and allowing goals on 28.1 percent of its penalty kills.
- The trio of Shannon Yoxheimer, Taylor Gross, and Laura Bowman have combined for 53 percent of the team's goals.
- Nicole Paniccia and Celine Whitlinger have split time in goal. Both goalies have a 3.54 GAA and just over a .910 save percentage.
- Josh Brandwene is in his second season as a women's collegiate head coach and he has won 11 games in that span.
