The Lindenwood wrestling team handled Truman State in a 44-3 victory on Saturday in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lions scored 18 points by way for forfeit through the first four matches as the 133 weight class went scoreless as neither team had a wrestler listed to compete. With an 18-0 lead
Derrick Weller pinned his opponent at the 3:40 mark the thrust the Lions to a
24-0 lead.
Luke Roth and
Kenny Breaux each were victorious in their matches as Roth scored a 10-0 major decision and Breaux dominated his opponent in a 22-9 major decision.
John McArdle has been on a roll and continued his top level performance by pinning his opponent at 3:38 in the 184 weight class.
Steven Butler got his match over in a hurry as he needed just 45 second to pin his opponent and the Lions ran away with the dual 44-3.
The Lions will host Fort Hays on Sunday with a 2 p.m. start time in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
