The men's and women's tennis teams fell to Rockhurst on Sunday. The men lost 6-3 while the women's dropped their match 7-2.
Andrei Masin and
Johannes Rabenhorst started the dual with an 8-6 doubles victory. The Lions lost the two doubles matches to follow and fell behind 2-1.
Andrei Masin tied the match at 2-2 when he defeated his opponent 6-2 and 6-2. Lindenwood found itself behind again and this time Yoshi Ysa scored a 6-3 and 7-5 victory to even the match 3-3. The Lions could not manage to hang on and lost the last three matches to lose 6-3.
The women had support from
Diana Castro but it was not enough. Castro and
Clara Piccamiglio gave the Lady Lions a point in their 8-5 doubles victory. Castro was able to earn a victory in her singles match as well going 7-6 and 6-4 over her opponent. The Lady Lions fell 7-2.
The Lions and Lady Lions will host Emporia State on Friday in St. Charles, Mo.
