The Lindenwood women's gymnastics team ended its Alaska weekend with one of the top scores of the season. The Lady Lions recorded a mark of 192.700 and earned a 3.000 win over Alaska Anchorage on Sunday afternoon.
Lindenwood's team score was the third-best in program history, and it just missed team records in the vault with a 48.450 and the beam with a 48.300. The Lady Lions also scored above a 48 on the floor with a 48.075, and it finished the bars with a score of 47.875.
Individually, several Lady Lions boosted the team score with career-best marks.
Lauren Cartmell set person-bests in the beam and floor. Her beam score of 9.825 won the individual honor for that event and was the fifth-best in program history.
Hannah Rector had marks of 9.700 on the beam and 9.750 on the floor, both personal-bests. She tied for the event's top score on the floor.
Alicia Floyd had a pair of 9.750 scores in the vault and the beam. Her vault score was a new career-high.
Rachel Zabawa continued her impressive season on the vault with a 9.800, which was the highest score in that event.
Courtney Heise won the bars title with a score of 9.775.
Emily Turik tied for the all-around crown with a score of 38.000.
Lindenwood ends its regular season next Saturday at Illinois.
