The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams defeated Lindenwood-Belleville on Tuesday with the men winning by a 9-0 shutout while the women scored an 8-1 victory.

The men swept doubles play to take the momentum into singles competition.  Andre Masin led off the singles play with a 6-2 and 6-0 victory.  Both Filip Bogic and Yoshi Ysa did the same to their opponents winning 6-2 and 6-0.  The Lions strong play led them to a 9-0 victory over the Lynx.

The women tried to match the men with a sweep in doubles competition to take an early 3-0 lead.  Gloria Marras started singles play with a 6-3 and 6-0 victory and was followed by a Clara Piccamiglio win over her counterpart.  The only loss came in the fifth sinlges match due to an injury to the Lady Lions during the match.

Both teams will compete in the MIAA tournament starting on Friday, April 25th
