Box Score The Lindenwood women's hockey team opened its season on Friday night at the Lindenwood Ice Arena. The Lady Lions were taking on the No. 2 team in NCAA Division I, Wisconsin, and fell by a 5-1 score.

Lindenwood got off to a slow start for head coach
Scott Spencer in his debut for the program. The Badgers scored just 66 seconds into the contest and added two more goals by the 11:45 mark.

The Lady Lions finally got on the board late in the first quarter.
Shara Jasper scored in her first game as a Lindenwood player, assisted by
Jordyn Constance and
Katie Erickson.

The final two periods were a defensive battle as the Badgers allowed few shots and Lindenwood goalie
Nicole Hensley kept the game from getting out of hand. Neither team scored in the second period, and Wisconsin put two more in the net in the third for the final scores.

Hensley finished with 49 saves for Lindenwood as Wisconsin outshot the Lady Lions by a 54-10 margin. The Badgers finished one-for-six on the power play, and Lindenwood was 0-for-five.

Lindenwood and Wisconsin will meet again on Saturday at the Lindenwood Ice Arena in a 3 p.m. contest.
