Wrestling Dominates Central Missouri, 43-9

Members of Lindenwood's No. 9 wrestling team will be traveling back to St. Charles, Mo. with smiles on their faces, after a dominant 43-9 performance over Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo.

Central Missouri forfeited the first two weight-classes, giving Blayne Shockley and Michael Caldwell a handshake victory to put the Lions up 12-0 before any wrestling had taken place. Kyle Webb continued to grow the divide between Lindenwood and Central Missouri with a pin, giving Lindenwood an 18-0 lead. Cullen Haplin carried this momentum by getting a pin of his own in under one-minute, giving Lindenwood a 24-0 lead. After one Lindenwood loss, Kyle Jolas gave Lindenwood a major decision to get the Lions back on track. Jon McArdle and Kenny Breaux pinned their opponents to give Lindenwood a 40-9 advantage. Jacob Borgmeyer finished the Mules off with a 5-4 decision to give the Lions a 43-9 victory.

The win puts Lindenwood at 9-4 and 3-1 in MIAA play. The Lions look to carry a five-dual winning-streak into a tough home dual against conference opponent No. 6 Nebraska-Kearney on Friday, January 30th.
