The Lindenwood baseball team lost 7-6 to No. 10 Southern Arkansas in the 11
th inning on Saturday afternoon in Magnolia, Ark.

Shawn Hagarty smashed his first hit as a Lion in the third inning as it cleared the fence for a solo blast to give Lindenwood a 1-0 lead.
Mike Ehrhard continues his hot start to the year with a double in the seventh inning. Ehrhard scored two batters later on a
Wade Rothermich single, putting the Lions up 2-0.
Dylan Terrell pitched a solid game for the Lions going 6 1/3 innings allowing just one run on five hits and struck out four Southern Arkansas batters.
Devin Breihan entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with bases loaded and one out. Breihan was able to keep the game in check and the Lions remained in the lead 2-1. Southern Arkansas kept fighting back and in the eighth inning took their first lead of the game with a three-run home run by Carver Rademacher.
Down 4-2 going into the ninth inning, Lindenwood did not lay down.
Ryan Light started the ninth with a double and moved to third on a Rothermich single.
Branden Sugar drove in Light on a pinch-hit single to left field to bring the Lions within one run and one out.
Mike Wilson laid down a bunt and reached on a throwing error that allowed Rothermich to score and Sugar to move to third base.
Zac Perkins put the Lions back on top 5-4 with a sacrifice bunt to score Sugar.
Wes Degener added an insurance run with a single to left field bringing in Wilson for a 6-4 Lindenwood lead going into the bottom of the ninth.
Southern Arkansas loaded the bases with one out and scored a run off of an RBI-single to pull within one run. Another walk loaded the bases this time with two out and again Rademacher came to the plate with a chance to change the score and possibly the outcome of the game. Southern Arkansas was able to tie the game on a wild pitch by
Matt Meier and still had an opportunity to put the game away. Meier stayed tough and got Rademacher to groundout to end the inning as the Lions still had life going into extra innings.
Southern Arkansas scored the final run in the bottom of the 11
th inning with a homerun to defeat the Lions 7-6.
After the extra-frame loss, Lindenwood falls to 1-2 on the year. The Lions will travel to Austin, Texas to take on St. Edwards University for a four-game series starting on February 7
th at noon.
