Tonight's Game 

• The Lindenwood Lions will finish a two-game road trip through Kansas with a game against the Emporia State Hornets on Monday night. Lindenwood is looking to win its fourth MIAA game in a row.

• Lindenwood is coming off a 69-65 win over the Pittsburg State Gorillas. The win was the team's third straight conference win. 

• The Hornets come into the game riding a two-game winning streak and will be looking for their second three-game win streak of the season.

• This will be just the second time the Lions and the Hornets will play each other. The Lions won the first meeting last season.

Lindenwood Notes
 

• Over the last five games, the Lions have shot the ball extremely well. Lindenwood has shot over 50 percent in four of the last five games. In the one game the team didn't they shot 48 percent. The team's best game came against UMSL when it shot 60 percent. 

• Since joining the MIAA in 2012-13 the Lions have compiled a record of 21-21 in MIAA games including a 13-8 mark at home

• Free throw shooting down the stretch has been a strength in the early season. The Lions are 40-for-52 in free throws with less the five minutes to play in the game. 

• The Lions have shot over 20 threes in eight games this year. The season high of 28 came in a loss to Central Oklahoma. 

• If the Lions have the lead with five minutes to play the team is undefeated but in all of the team's losses they have been trailing at that moment.

• When the Lions have shot a higher percentage than their opponents they have won every game but one. 

• Garrett Reeg is in his final season as a Lindenwood Lion and is climbing up the career charts. He has led his team in rebounding 32 times in and is fourth on the career rebounding list. He is just 48 rebounds behind Toriano Adams for third place. Reeg is also approaching 1,000 career points and is 30 points from the milestone. His career field goal percentage of 55 percent is second all-time on the career list. 

• Cory Arentsen has made his presence felt in his first season as a Lion. In the team's first 13 games, Arentsen has led the team in points six times, rebounds in another three, and assists nine times. He is leading the team in points with just over 14 points a game and has scored in double figures in all but one game. 

•Lindenwood opponents have shot the ball at a clip of 49 percent this season. That percentage is the second highest against any team in the MIAA.

• The Lions are second in the conference in blocked shots per game with 4.0. The team is third in the conference in total blocks with 52.

• The Hyland Arena floor has been very good to the Lions since Brad Soderberg took over. In his first five seasons, Lindenwood is 64-15 at home. 

• Rebounding has been another stat that has been important in the season. In the team's seven wins the team has won the rebounding edge five of six times. In the seven games they have lost they are 2-5.

• Playing on a neutral court has not been to kind to the Lions over the past two seasons. Lindenwood is 0-5 on a neutral court. 

• Four Lions will be playing their final seasons in a Lindenwood uniform. Darris Smith, Garrett Reeg, Michael Boos, and Chanse Creekmur will be finishing their careers this season. 

• Coach Soderberg is the all-time leader in school history in wins and winning percentage. He broke the school record for wins in just four seasons. 

• The MIAA coaches picked the Lions as the ninth best team in the conference in the preseason coaches poll. Defending DII National Champions Central Missouri was picked as the top team in the conference followed by Fort Hays State, Washburn, Northwest Missouri, and Missouri Southern in the top five. 

• Coach Soderberg and his staff have added three NCAA Division I transfers in the offseason. The Lions welcome Chanse Creekmur from Arizona State, LJ McIntosh from Texas Pan-American, Cory Arentsen from Austin Peay, and Nick Carlos from Central Michigan.
