The Lindenwood women's volleyball team defeated Illinois-Springfield on Tuesday night by a 3-1 final in Springfield, Ill.
The Lady Lions were able to snap a seven-game losing skid with a 3-1 win over Illinois-Springfield. Lindenwood came out with a 25-17 win in set one, but fell 25-19 heading into the break. The Lady Lions were strong on the gas pedal the rest of the night and won sets three and four by a 25-16 margin in each set.
Lindenwood was led by
Jessica Krygsheld and
Sarah Makowski. Both posted 11 kills apiece as Krygsheld added two blocks and two assists while Makowski tallied three blocks.Â
Allyson Clancy was one assist away from tying a career-best as she dished out 44 assists and supplied three kills.
Lindenwood improves to 9-9 on the year. The Lady Lions return home on Friday to take on MIAA opponent Southwest Baptist at Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo. with a 7 p.m. start time.
