The Lindenwood women's volleyball team opened up its two-game home stand with a 3-0 win over Southwest Baptist on Friday night in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lady Lions came out swinging in the first set compiling a total of 17 kills in a 25-22 victory. Set two featured another 17 kills from the Lady Lions as
Alex Dahlstrom posted seven of her 15 kills to help Lindenwood to a 25-23 win in the second set.
Lindenwood had just three kills in the final set, but it hit .423 percent and tallied nine blocks. The Lady Lions finished off the night with a 25-20 win in set three.
Jessica Krygsheld and
Sarah Makowski each compiled seven kills. Krygsheld added four blocks and
Kayla Guyot put up four blocks of her own. Guyot finished the night with six kills and is now just five kills away from her 1,000th career kill.
Lindenwood improves to 10-9 on the season and sit at 2-6 in the MIAA. The Lady Lions will host Missouri Southern State on Saturday at 6 p.m. in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
