Storyline- The Lindenwood football team travels to Missouri Southern this Saturday for a 2:37 p.m. game at Fred G. Hughes Stadium. The game will be the second time this year that the Lions have appeared on the MIAA Television Network Game of the Week.

- Lindenwood will carry some momentum into the game after a Homecoming victory over Nebraska-Kearney last week by a 28-10 score. The Lions big-play offense returned with three pass plays over 45 yards, including touchdown receptions of 76 and 70 yards. The win improved the team to 2-5 on the season and in MIAA play.

- Missouri Southern is hoping for some Homecoming magic as well this week. The Lions have lost four straight games and they are 1-6 on the season and in conference action. Last week, Missouri Southern fell to Northeastern State by a 31-21 margin.

- The all-time series between the two schools is tied at one win apiece. Lindenwood won the inaugural game by a 45-30 score in 2012, and Missouri Southern won the second meeting last year by a 31-17 margin. Both of those games were played in St. Charles, Mo.

- Lindenwood is 1-4 in its previous appearances on the MIAA Television Network Game of the Week. Lindenwood won its first appearance on the regional television game versus Missouri Southern in 2012, but has lost four straight since then.

- Lindenwood enters the week with two national leaders at the NCAA Division II level. Linebacker

- Lindenwood had its best passing game last week since last year's Missouri Southern contest, when it threw for 348 yards. This year's Missouri Southern defense is 11th in the MIAA by allowing 281.6 passing yards a game.

- Missouri Southern has been nearly equal in run plays versus pass plays this year. Lindenwood is allowing 230 yards through the air and 194.6 yards on the ground in 2015.

Lions Offense- Lindenwood is 11th in the MIAA in scoring offense (15.7) and in total offense (290.7).

- Since moving into the starting lineup, quarterback
Mason Bendigo is averaging 203.3 passing yards a game, and he has four passing touchdowns and just two interceptions.

- The Lions had their first two 100-yard receiving games last week with
Greg Coble recording 172 receiving yards and
Tre' Roby having 120. The last time Lindenwood had two 100-yard receivers in a game was in 2013 against Central Missouri when
Jaron Alexander and
Alex Robinson accomplished the feat.

Jaron Alexander moved into second place in Lindenwood's record book with 137 career reception. He is 16 behind Andrew Helmick for the all-time record.

- Lindenwood's offense has cut its turnovers down lately with five in its last four games.

Lions Defense- Lindenwood is 10th in the MIAA in scoring defense (33.3), and is ninth in total defense (424.6).

- The Lions defense did not allow a snap inside its red zone last week. That was the second time it has done that since moving to the NCAA level, with the other coming against Northeastern State in 2014.

- Lindenwood held Nebraska-Kearney to just 86 passing yards last week, marking the third time since 2011 that the Lions have held a team under 100 yards passing in a game. The others were Nebraska-Kearney in 2013 (66) and Fort Hays State in 2014 (84).

Connor Harris moved into the MIAA's career tackles top-10 list last week. He is currently tenth with 436 career tackles, the most among active NCAA players.

Jonathan Harris has recorded nine tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks over the last two games. He is first among defensive lineman in tackles for loss and second in sacks.

Lions Special Teams-
Matt Klingler leads NCAA Division II with 45.8 yards per punt. He has punted 33 times and has 11 punts over 50 yards. Eleven of his punts have been inside the 20-yard line.

Brandon White is two-of-two on field goals and 12-of-12 on PAT attempts.

Misc. Notes- Lindenwood returns home on Halloween for a 1:30 p.m. game against Central Missouri. The Mules are currently 5-2 on the season.

Patrick Ross came to Lindenwood, the program is 78-9 in those situations.

About Missouri Southern- Kyle Keller has been the primary quarterback the last three weeks. He has thrown a touchdown in each game, and rushed for a score.
