Connor Harris Chasing History In Football's Final Game On Saturday

Storylines
 - The Lindenwood football team ends its 2015 season on Saturday when it hosts Northeastern State at 1:30 p.m. at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.

- Lindenwood's Connor Harris will be chasing both MIAA and NCAA Division II history on Saturday. The junior linebacker enters play this week with 169 tackles on the season and 480 tackles in his career. He is eight tackles shy of the NCAA Division II record for single-season tackles, and 11 tackles short of the MIAA career tackles mark.

- The Lions enter the week with a 3-7 record after dropping two straight games. Last weekend, Lindenwood fell in its final road game of the season at Central Oklahoma. The two teams were tied at 20 at halftime, but the Bronchos outscored the Lions 17-0 in the second half.

- Northeastern State is currently 2-8 on the year, and it is on a three-game losing streak. Last week, the RiverHawks jumped out to a 21-7 halftime lead over Washburn, but they were outscored 28-0 in the second half in the 35-21 loss.

- Both the Lions and RiverHawks have improved from their 2014 seasons. Lindenwood has won one more game this year, while Northeastern State has two more victories entering this week.

- Lindenwood and Northeastern State have played just once before. Last season in Tahlequah, Okla., the Lions defeated the RiverHawks by a 35-16 margin. The two teams were tied at seven at halftime, and Northeastern State took a 16-7 lead midway through the third quarter. Lindenwood exploded for 28 points in a 13-minute span for the win.

- Lindenwood's running game will look to take advantage of a Northeastern State run defense that ranks last in the MIAA by allowing 254.0 rushing yards a game, and 5.2 yards a rush. Last year against the RiverHawks, the Lions ran for 269 yards, including 188 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns by Connor Harris.

- The RiverHawks have gained nearly twice as many yards through the air this year as compared to their run game, and they rank third in the MIAA with 13.7 yards per completion. Lindenwood's defenders will have a chance for forcing some turnovers, as Northeastern State has a MIAA-high 17 interceptions in 2015.

Lions Offense
- Lindenwood is 11th in the MIAA in scoring offense (16.4), and 10th in total offense (293.2).

- Over the last four games, wide receiver Greg Coble has been a part of six passing plays of 30 yards or longer, including three last week versus Central Oklahoma. In that span, he has 420 receiving yards, and is averaging 22.1 yards per catch. Coble went over 1,000 career receiving yards versus Central Oklahoma.

- Tre' Roby and Lavorrie Johnson enter the final game tied for the team-high with five touchdowns apiece. Greg Coble is right behind with four scores.

- Wide receiver Jaron Alexander enters the final game of his career with 146 receptions and 1,625 receiving yards. He needs seven receptions to tie Lindenwood's career record, and 41 yards to enter the program's career receiving yards top-five list.

- Right guard Akil Williams is the lone offensive lineman to start all 10 games this season. The sophomore has started 19 games in his first two seasons on the playing field.

Lions Defense
- Lindenwood is 10th in the MIAA in scoring defense (33.1), and is tenth in total defense (437.4).

- Linebacker Connor Harris continues to have a historic season on defense for Lindenwood:
          - He leads all levels of NCAA football with 16.9 tackles a game, which would be a new NCAA Division II record (since 2000).
          - He leads all levels of NCAA football among active players with 480 career tackles.
          - He is third in MIAA history in career tackles, and fourth in MIAA history in season tackles.

- Defensive back Roderick Ryles is going to finish second on the team in tackles for the third straight season. He has been one of the team's most consistent defenders, having six or more tackles in every game but one this year.

- Freshman Jonathan Harris leads the team with 4.5 sacks, and is second with 8.0 tackles for loss. He has 4.5 sacks and 6.5 tackles for loss in his last five games.

- Lindenwood's defense is allowing just 21.0 points a game this season at Hunter Stadium.

Lions Special Teams
- Matt Klingler leads NCAA Division II with 44.8 yards per punt, which will be a new Lindenwood single-season record. He has punted 54 times and has 15 punts over 50 yards. Thirteen of his punts have been inside the 20-yard line.

- Deon Rieux leads the team with 16 special teams tackles. He has five tackles on kickoff coverage and 11 on punt coverage.
